The Footed Bud Vases in the Fostoria American line came in two versions – Cupped or Flared. Both versions offered two different sizes – 6″ or 8½″. The Footed Bud Vase pictured here is the 8½″ Flared version. Sizes are approximate, as these pieces were hand-made.
Fostoria produced this vase in crystal and White Milk Glass. The milk glass vases had a much shorter life span than their crystal siblings. The White Milk Glass 8½″ Flared Footed Bud Vases were produced from 1954-1965.
After the Fostoria Glass Company closed its doors, several moulds in the American line were then transferred over to other glass companies, such as Dalzell Viking, and others. The Footed Bud Vases, Cupped or Flared, are some of the items that Dalzell Viking produced for the Fostoria American line.
